BEAUTY OILS
In our Beauty Oils, the powerful active ingredients are present at much higher concentrations than in water filled creams because they are not diluted.
Plant based botanical oils are the foundation for our beauty oils. We select oils that offer the maximum amount of benefit to your skin and have the ability to repair, regenerate and restore balance to all skin types, even sensitive skin, aging skin, blemish-prone skin, dehydrated or dry skin. And we don't add any ingredients that might be sensitizing. Just pure plant-based mother nature.
Our skin changes daily, depending on factors like what we consume, what we drink, how hydrated we are, our stress, our hormones and our environment. As we age, the changes become more apparent and the needs of your skin change as well. Beauty oils help offer a layer of protection and provide your skin with rich essential fatty acids and antioxidants to help your skin retain its moisture for lasting hydration and to protect it from the aging effects of the environment.
Your Beauty Oil should be the last step of your skincare routine in order for it to properly seal in moisture and the goodness from the other steps of your skincare routine. Our facial, botanical oils are excellent for all skin types including sensitive skin. Some are lighter and quick absorbing and can be used day or night and some can be quite nourishing and thick, and are best applied at night where they can slowly seep into your skin and work their magic while you are sleeping.

BUTTERS
Facial butters & balms are rich ointments designed not only to provide nourishment but also to create a thin, protective layer on your skin. This type of product is an excellent choice for dry or dehydrated skin, for cold, windy months or for those living in a cold climate when our skin is exposed to the elements causing it to dry out and crack. The rich fatty acids are also very soothing after a facial mask.
The nourishing nature of butters, make them perfect for all skin types, especially mature skin.
Our facial butters & balms are formulated to provide the skin with nourishing properties & to protect your skin from the elements.
A Butter should be applied after your other products. You can use either your butter or beauty oils to seal in the rest of your products.
Everyone has different preferences, buy you can use a butter morning and night for maximum benefit. However, due to its thicker consistency, you may choose to only use this at night.

CLAYS & MASKS
Our Dry Clays & Masks are formulated to firm, tighten and diminish fine lines as well as detoxify and draw out impurities and oils from the surface of the skin.
This is especially helpful to you if you have acne or oily and blemish-prone skin since our formulas help draw out the impurities as well as absorb excess oils on the surface of the skin which will help control shine.
But even if you're not plagued by breakouts, our Dry Clays & Masks are rich in minerals and acids that benefit other skin types too.
Our Rose Clay is mild and has skin-soothing properties so is suitable for all skin types. It will gently work to exfoliate and gently slough away dull dead skin, absorb impurities and excess oil from your pores, detox and clear pores, and leave your skin feeling wonderfully soft.
Our Earth Clay deeply cleanses and purifies skin and is excellent for drawing impurities out from the skin all while nourishing skin with essential minerals and skin smoothing silica. It soaks up excess sebum in skin and helps to rebalance sebum production which will help prevent future breakouts. It is also a wonderful skin treatment for dry and aging skin because it gently exfoliates the skin, leaving it soft and silky smooth.
Our dry clays were specifically formulated without water, so you can combine them and activate them with water. This provides you with the freshest product!
Get your ingredients together, all you need is:
*small glass bowl
*small spoon/spatula/measuring spoon for mixing or you can use a clean makeup brush
*your dry clay
*makeup brush to apply or you can you use your fingers
*water (or you may use any form of hydration such as botanical water, honey, or a combination, etc.)
**Important note: when mixing clay with water, try not to us metal. Try to use glass or plastic mixing bowls and spoons. In a nutshell, metal spoons and bowls will react with the clay reducing most of its healing properties.
Step 1: Start with approx 1.5 teaspoons of clay in your bowl.
Step 2: Slowly add 1.5 teaspoon of room temperature or warm water, or one of our botanical waters or a combination of both and mix. *If using water, Pro tip: filtered water is best.
Step 3: Add more water or clay a little at a time until you get a smooth, creamy consistency.
Step 1: Cleanse your face first.
Step 2: Using a face mask brush, apply the mask to your skin. Apply first a thin layer of product to your face and neck, then apply a second thicker layer so the mask is approx 1/8″ thick.
Step 3: Let the clay sit for approx 10-15 minutes. For sensitive skin types, apply for 5 – 10 minutes.
Step 4: Before the clay is almost dry on your skin, rinse it off.
Tip: Warm your face cloth with hot water and then hold it to my face. This re-hydrates the mask making it easier to remove. Remove all the mask from your face using a cloth.
After application of a clay mask, you will feel a tightening effect on your skin. Redness for up to 30 minutes after application is normal.
Step 6: Moisturize! Tip: Follow mask with our Plum Beauty Oil and/or Blue Tansy Butter !
Enjoy your super smooth skin!!
Why is my face red after a clay mask? You may have left the mask on for too long. Remember, take the mask off before or as soon as it is dry. Once it dries, there isn't any benefit to keeping it on longer and you may get more redness. Keep in mind some redness after a clay mask application is normal. That’s because clay brings blood to the surface of your skin while it’s absorbing impurities from your skin. So if you have redness and are reading this right after taking a mask off, don’t worry. Wait some time after masking and your skin tone should be back to normal. If you have extra sensitive skin, you may want to start off masking by applying and then removing after a few minutes. You can then add a few more minutes each time to ensure the masking time works for your skin.
Should you let a Clay Mask dry?
This depends on your skin type. Sensitive skin and drier skin may require shorter masking times. However, there is no benefit to keeping a mask on once it dries. You should see immediate improvements in your skin after masking. If you have any negative side effects such as drying, stinging or redness, you should shorten the masking time. After applying a mask to your skin, it is in a hyper-porous state which means that the products that you follow it with can be easily absorbed and reach deeper layers making a greater impact. So even a few minute mask has benefits.
What is the best time to use a face mask?
Applying a face mask before bed is my favorite time to relax and unwind for the day. It also helps clear all the built up impurities from your skin and let your skin rejuvenate itself after a mask during the night.
Yes! Each type of clay contains different minerals that are beneficial for different skin types.
For dry skin, you can still find benefit from clay masks but it’s especially important that you do not let the mask dry on your skin, and that you apply moisturizer afterwards.
Start by applying a mask once per week. We believe once per week gives you amazing benefits and you aren't over exfoliating too often. Your skin is unique to you and what may skin care treatments are not a blanket, one size fits all, so adapt for your needs.
You should definitely use a mask after cleansing your face, but contrary to popular belief, your pores don't open and close. Cleansing your face or having a shower doesn’t “open your pores”. However it does cleanse and loosen debris that might be trapped in your pores making it easier for the clay to adsorb those impurities.
A clay mask is great anytime. But it can be helpful to enjoy a clay mask after your shower.
Clay masks are one of the very best ways to gently exfoliate and boost your skincare routine. Clay has been used in skin care since the 18th century!
There are a lot of other brands that produce hydrated clay masks with added water and in order to keep bacteria out, preservatives are a must. Not all preservatives are bad, but there are popular synthetic preservatives for cosmetic use that have had alot of controversy around them in recent years. We take a precautionary role and avoid them altogether.
We want you to use our Dry Clays and know that you aren't adding anything potentially harmful while you are cleansing and detoxifying your skin.
By activating your mask at home and by adding your own choice of hydration to our Dry Clay Masks (water, botanical water, honey, or a combination), you can be assured that your mask is fresh, effective and free from bacteria.

CLEANSERS
The Oil Cleansing Method is not a new trend that will fade over time. Everyone's doing it! Ages ago, long before modern soap as we know it now existed, oils were used to heal, hydrate, nourish & pamper skin.
If you aren't Oil Cleansing, read on to find out the many benefits.
Oil Cleansing is basically cleansing your face with oil. There is a whole list of amazing natural oils that have excellent qualities, but there are particular ones that are great at removing bad oil sitting in your pores while they clean, nourish & hydrate your skin simultaneously.
Oils are superior at breaking down dirt & dead cells & removing makeup gently. Some people assume that cleansing with oil would cause or increase break-outs. Although there are some natural oilS that are comodogenic and may not be suitable for oily, acne prone skins, there are just as many that are non-comodogenic and actually more suitable than other cleansers that actually dry out skin, causing it to produce even more oil.
Our Cleansing Oils are suitable for all skin types, being that they are a very gentle way to cleanse your skin. But the skin type that may benefit the most from Oil Cleansing is dry, mature skin.
Our Facial Oil Cleansers are made with natural, organic, cold pressed, unrefined oils that are the lowest on the comodogenic scale so they won't clog your pores & they are excellent for oily skin. We chose some of the most nourishing oils and blended them to create the most luxurious cleansing treat.

THE NAKED OILS
Each of the ingredients we use in our products have their very own individual magic. They are all effective at providing superior benefits in skincare when used in combination with other ingredients & even when used alone. That is why we chose to offer some of these amazing oils as stand alone products.
You now have the ability to create your own skin treat by combining a few drops of your choice based on your needs & the key benefits of each one of the Nakeds.
We call these our "Naked" products because they are pure & concentrated and naked (not covered up by a list of other ingredients). Since they are in their "natural" state, you are getting concentrated oils which lack the perfumed smell of many chemical filled, synthetic products or even the fragrant smells of essential oils.
Fragrances are common sensitizing ingredients for some skin types. If that is you, the Nakeds are just what you need.
The Nakeds are amazing for all skin types but especially for those with sensitive skin. These products do not contain essential oils.
